동물학자, 야생동물 다큐멘터리 프로듀서·감독, 작가. 다큐멘터리 대본을 집필했으며, 에미상과 BAFTA를 수상한 《Planet Earth》 제작에 참여했다. 또한 BBC, 디스커버리 채널(Discovery Channel), 내셔널 지오그래픽(National Geographic) 등의 프로그램을 제작해왔다. 오랫동안 생물음향학(bioacoustics)에 관심을 가져온 그는 Apple TV를 위해 제작된 다큐멘터리 시리즈 《Earthsounds》를 연출한 바 있다.
