소설가이자 시나리오 작가, 커뮤니케이션 컨설턴트. 데뷔작 『바나나의 삶(The Life of a Banana)』은 여성문학상(Women’s Prize for Fiction) 최종 후보에 오르며 주목받았고, 가디언, 인디펜던트, 베니티 페어 등 다양한 매체에서 호평을 받았다. 이 소설은 인종과 계급 문제를 섬세하게 다루며, 현재 PP 웡이 직접 작가 및 크리에이터로 참여하는 TV 시리즈로 각색이 진행 중이다.

캐나다 브리티시컬럼비아 대학교(UBC)에서 텔레비전 각본 전공으로 MFA(예술학 석사)를 마쳤다. 사회주의자인 아버지와 함께 어린 시절 영국 스피커스 코너(Speakers’ Corner)에서 정치 토론을 들으며 자란 경험과, 표현의 자유가 억압된 국가들에서 살아본 경험, 그리고 평등을 지향하는 다양한 비영리 단체에서의 글쓰기 활동은 그녀가 신작 『Slice the Water』를 집필하게 된 중요한 영감이 되었다.
