두 사람의 길이 서서히 교차하면서, 개인의 선택을 넘어 언론과 대학, 정치와 종교 공동체를 둘러싼 권력의 구조를 날카롭게 파고든다.

Macquarie University의 ARC Future Fellow. 이슬람 혐오, 인종 차별, 팔레스타인, 테러와의 전쟁, 청소년 정체성 및 사회운동 활동 등을 연구하고 있다. 과거 변호사로 활동했으며, 아동·청소년 도서 12권을 집필한 작가이기도 하다. 그녀의 저서는 13개 이상의 언어로 번역되었으며, 아동·청소년 도서는 10만 부 이상 판매되었다.
